Level 3 Safeguarding Training:  Dynamics of Domestic Abuse

This final session offered:

5 December 2024 (joining link below)

12.00pm - 2.00pm

Trainer: Lewisham Athena Refuge

Domestic abuse is a pattern of behaviour that is used by someone to control or obtain power over their partner or ex-partner. It is never the fault of the person who is experiencing it, and it is a crime. Research shows that many people across workplaces lack any real understanding of what domestic abuse really is and its impact on survivors.

The main aim of this workshop is to build an understanding of what we mean by Domestic Abuse and why it is so complex.

We are offering a domestic abuse awareness workshop which will include:

  • What is domestic abuse?
  • Barriers to Leaving
  • The impact on survivors and their health
  • How to respond
