We are pleased to announce the second Lewisham General Practice Excellence Awards (2024/25) will take place on Friday 31st January 2025, 7pm till late, and will once again be held at the iconic Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley.
These awards will recognise the outstanding contribution of staff working in general practice in Lewisham and are an exciting opportunity to celebrate with colleagues, as well as showcase and award teams and individuals.
The evening will include a buffet dinner and entertainment.
Tickets are on sale now and the booking window will close on 13th January 2025: https://www.lewishamcepntraininghub.co.uk/events/general-practice-excellence-awards-2024
To ensure fairness, we have allocated a number of tickets to each PCN/organisation - please ensure you select your ticket under the PCN/Organisation you work for and then complete the booking form in full. We also kindly request that tickets are only booked if you intend to attend and please do cancel your booking if you are no longer able to make it so the ticket can be offered to others.
Unfortunately, due to limited funds, we are only able to invite staff working in general practice within Lewisham. As such, we are unable to extend invitations to partners, friends, or family members. We hope this does not deter you from booking your free ticket and joining us for an enjoyable evening with your colleagues and work friends. We look forward to celebrating together so hope to see you on the 31st January at the iconic Rivoli Ballroom!

Building on the success of the Lewisham General Practice Excellence Awards 2023, One Health Lewisham, Lewisham CEPN Training Hub and the Lewisham ICB primary care team hosted a summer garden party event with BBQ and lawn games. This event took place in the beautiful grounds of Morden College, Blackheath and was held to bring together General Practice colleagues from across the borough and take some time out to recognise and celebrate all the hard work and dedication that staff put in on a daily basis. Thank you to all those who joined us and we hope you enjoyed the afternoon.
Many congratulations to Debbie Brown, SELWDH's Director of Nursing and our very own incredible Clinical Director, for her well-deserved spot on the 2024 MBE Honours List.
This is an enormous and much deserved achievement in recognition of Debbie's outstanding service to general practice nursing.
Debbie is an experienced nurse of over 47 years, almost 30 of which have been spent in primary care, within general practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Debbie founded Lewisham CEPN Training Hub in 2017 to provide a range of training and development opportunities for all staff groups.
Debbie was born and raised in Lewisham, trained at Lewisham Hospital, continues to work in Lewisham and is passionate about the borough and the people who live and work here.
Debbie is shown on the right, following receiving her MBE from Princess Anne on Wednesday 17th April 2024.
Many congratulations to all our nominees and our overall winners.
In addition, Dr Yog Malik and practice nurse, Anne-Marie Brennan, were recognised for their long service in the NHS and Dr Yog Malik also in relation to his long service specifically to Lewisham. We celebrate and thank them for their dedication.
We hope everyone who attended the event enjoyed the evening and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
